The Beat astrologer Manish Kumar Arora is a world-renowned astrologer, numerologist and tarot card reader based in India whose monthly (and fortnightly, in our case) horoscopes are read by thousands around the world in dozens of publications. We sat down with Manish to find out more about him and the world of astrology.
So Manish, when and how did you get involved in astrology? Was it a calling of sorts?
As I began to move into adulthood, I was immediately drawn into this field that seemed to encompass the planets, and yet drew a clear connection to the workings of our lives here on earth. Why are we instantly drawn to some and repelled by others? Why do we find ourselves repeatedly befriending those born in the same week or month? Why do we react the way we do, communicate the way we do? Why we make fortunes in some periods in business and why some periods do not fetch returns? It’s all there in one’s natal chart. It’s what drew me to astrology in the first place. So, involving myself in astrology was a logical process of my quest to know more about these things.
How did you know you could do it, read people’s futures accurately? Was there a particular, epiphany moment?
Seeing other astrologers reading horoscopes, I was fascinated how with the help of 2-6 charts and some tables, astrologers were able to forecast about past, present and future of persons, their finance pattern, their marital life etc. Curiosity and excitement led me to learning astrology. During astrology classes, test cases which were given to me for analysis drew appreciation from my teacher, making me confident and instilled in me passion and enthusiasm to delve deeper into this wonderful subject. It was not a particular epiphany moment but a gradual process of learning and growth.
What is the craziest thing you read in someone’s future that actually came true?
This is a very interesting question and takes me down memory lane to early months of 2017. Bollywood movie, ‘’Dangal’’ had already been released in India in December 2016 and was doing earth shattering business. When the news came that its stakeholders were going to release the movie in China, with the help of K.P. Astrology tool, ‘Fortuna’ I was able to predict that its China business may extend beyond Rs1000 crores, while the existing highest grosser record of a Bollywood movie in China was held by ‘’P K’’ which was more than Rs 100 crores. Here I was predicting a craziest forecast of ‘’Dangal’’ making ten times more business than held by an existing record movie ‘’P K “. This predictions was declared absurd and crazy by my friends. Ultimately ‘’Dangal’’ went on to cross Rs 1300 crores – an all-time highest for a Bollywood movie in China.
What do you think is the strength of astrology, reading people’s characters or reading the future?
I will elaborate the greatest benefit of astrology through an example. If you have to cross a river and if you know where the water level is deeper, you will take your boat accordingly keeping in view the flow of water. Hence, astrology gives you the guidance to follow your path with concrete directions. People who cannot find the answers to the questions on their minds through other means may turn to horoscopes to find some guidance. The mind, the body and the environment, and all they contain, form an undivided field and each of our chart’s features can express themselves in any and all of three main arenas – the inner world of thoughts, beliefs and feelings, the outer world of events and relationships and the interface where these two worlds meet – which is the body.
Your readings of my sign are always pretty accurate, how often do you get it wrong? Do people complain much?
Thanks very much for your compliment. I have been providing consultation to clients through astrology, numerology, tarot reading and offering them psychic advice for the last twenty years with a good degree of success. My clients have benefitted immensely being guided by my advice to them on issues like love, marriage, relationships, career, finance, business, investment, speculation and education. Overall, I have shared a happy rapport and get respect from people for the same.
How can the time and day a person is born have any real influence on your character? How does that work?
K.P. Astrology*, which I follow, is based on the principle that the birth of an individual at a particular moment of time, place or city, and date of the month characterizes his present and future and is based on his Karma done in past life according to Karmic Law. Every city has a unique latitude and longitude and a local mean time (L.M.T.) is generated to get to an individual’s horoscope and is of utmost importance to analyse his present and future events. Every L.M.T., at any moment of time has distinct vibrations and energies which are quite different from a place having another L.M.T. and thus forms the base for analysising a horoscope.
What do you say to people when they say astrology is a load of nonsense?
Astrology is a divine science. The study of astrology will help you sort out all your options and to act at the proper time. When you are going through a hard time, astrology can give you hope because you will know when the cosmos will give you a hand to get you back on your feet. When you know you’re due for some good fortune, you will have time to prepare so you can position yourself to benefit from it.
Last Question: 2017 was a mixed bag for many of us. How is 2018 shaping up?
2018 promises a good year with general growth in the economy. More countries will get united and take a firm and concrete stand against terrorism. Peace, harmony and love will prevail among people. However, we may also face more natural calamities but assistance from friendly countries would be available for affected nations. There will be more advancement in technology. Women all over the world will get more respect and they would occupy strategic posts. (More on 2018 next edition)
*K.P. Astrology – KP astrology was invented by Shri K.S. Krishna Murthy. He was a well-known astrologer from the state of Tamil Nadu, India. He researched on various Indian and Western Astrology methods and developed a new method called as KP (Krishnamurthy Paddhati) Astrology, whose results have been found to be more accurate.
