Aroop Roy is a producer, musician, and label head, who joins the dots between electronic music and borderless organic sounds. From house, garage, and techno to jazz, disco, and global rhythms, he has enjoyed universal acclaim as a producer and DJ.
Aroop’s eclectic productions have become a mainstay for DJs across scenes and generations, with Gilles Peterson calling him “a brilliant producer, who never fails”. In recent years, he has been high in demand as a remixer, working for both underground and major labels.
Like his productions, his sets are full of personality and style and have earned him a reputation as a uniquely gifted DJ. In 2023, Aroop has been causing wild scenes with his sets at venues and festivals including Fabric, Printworks, Defected Croatia, Hi Ibiza, Lost Village, and Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide and We Out Here festivals. Legendary UK and Ninja Tune artist Mr. Scruff calls Aroop an ‘incredible DJ’ and ‘ridiculously skilled selector’ and has invited him to numerous B2B sessions.
