Open Talks: Rahel Stephanie (Spoons)

Fri July 5, 2024

Nusantara to the world

Rising star Rahel Stephanie founded Spoons – the sell-out London-based Indonesian supper club – from her iPhone in 2019. Rahel is pursuing authentic Indonesian food firmly and accurately on the Western map, one supper club at a time.
Fast forward three eventful years and Rahel has continued to captivate her audience, with Spoons tickets selling out in under 60 seconds – often compared to the rate at which Glastonbury tickets are sold.

Rahel strives to demystify Indonesian flavours and techniques, make lesser-known ingredients accessible and shine a light on the power of her country’s cooking, such as how the complexities in flavour more than make up for the authentically plant-based dishes from her heritage.

She will be joining us at Dome on Friday 5 July for two open talks on Indonesian food – sharing the beauty of Nusantara to the world.
