THE CITY IS A FLOWER Exhibition | 11th Jan | The Slow

The Slow presents Adam Turnbull’s “THE CITY IS A FLOWER”, an exhibition arriving on Saturday the 11th of January. Within these works, the Australian artist forms 2D aluminium wall pieces and sculptures that are reworked by hand, as they continue to be creased, folded, warped and skewed until becoming a less easily identifiable image. Each unique object represents an occurrence or memory, a central theme to Adam’s art; “Often a memory is sparked by an image, a feeling of something familiar, a person you knew, a place you’ve been. “I collect images, I take photos of everything, the memories, not necessarily a moment, not necessarily a photograph,” he says.
