Cata Odata presents an exhibition by Indonesian artist, Imam Sucahyo, themed “Ravaged World”. As the theme implies, the artist’s works depict a ravaged world where a fragmented reality is being presented in an irregular manner. In his works, some parts reflect the expressive nature of an artistic conscience, whereas the other is the result of the outer limits of reason. The narrations in his works also represent the complex struggle of the lower-class in society in different aspects; economic, spatial and gender. This exhibition displays 72 works by the artist, which were created between 2014 and 2017, and also features a program such as scene-to-scene, film screening and discussion as a series of event.
