CushCush Gallery currently hosts its latest exhibition titled ‘DenPasar 2017’. As the capital city of Bali, Denpasar is known as the centre of business and seat of government. The etymology of the word ‘Denpasar’ is ‘North of Market’, suggesting the origin of the city that developed from the strong presence of the market. Therefore, ‘pasar’ (market) has been picked as the theme of this exhibition. For this exhibition, 17 artists and four creative art communities have been selected to observe, understand, relearn and represent the meaning of ‘pasar’ and Denpasar from today’s creatives’ diverse perspectives.
