Komaneka Fine Art Gallery hosts an exhibition themed “Coming Home: Wings and Time”, displaying a series of works by Wayan Sujana. The theme shows the artist, who first joined the gallery in the 90s when he was still young, and has since gone on to gain international recognition. In this sense, his return to Komaneka Fine Art Gallery is a kind of homecoming, a return to his roots. In this exhibition, his paintings employ a somber palette that shows a strategic use of violent colors. The works show figures which are submerged in abstract fields where colors are massed like a brewing storm.
