Art Exhibition by Katirin

Now- December 21st | The Oberoi

Displaying at The Oberoi Bali are the works by Katirin, a painter and sculptor from Yogyakarta. All effort of Katirin in trying an informal side of his paintings are exposed in this exhibition showing nakedly who he really is and not who he pretends to be. In his works, he claims what he paints are not clear icons, nor even obsessive ghosts of his past, but leftovers from his memory. He has lived in a city, he has trampled the ash of volcanoes. He has seen things and people come and go. This is what he is “talking” about. Nothing idyllic.
